Well, with much anticipation, our group was pretty well prepared to get into our garden space this past Tuesday to begin our initial work on the garden. This consisted of taking a copy of our planting plan out to the space. At this point it is important for us to find any buried utilities and mark them so we don't encounter any problems later as we begin excavating the space. Also, we intented to measure and lay out important features like walkways, walls, and planting beds....This ALL could have happened on Tuesday, however,..winter decided to expel about 4 inches (not bad) of snow that day..(how rude!), making it impossible for us to work in the space....Plan B....
regroup....and patience!
The journey of a garden from collaboration, design, drafting, and construction. What does a garden sound like? What do we hear? What does the garden hear?

...the work
Landscape construction class is awesome. Since the semester has started, we have been able to take those design plans from last summer and start to 'build the foundation' (figuratively). The pic is taking those design plans and figuring out plant choices, plant spacing, plant height,...plants plants!! Also, sourcing out edging and gravel.
